The KZN School of Wine is run in conjunction with Abingdon Wine Estate in the KZN Midlands. It is the ideal place to extend your love for wine and experience the wine making process first hand. All courses are taught by WSET accredited educator, Laurie Cooper.
In addition to being a winemaker at Abingdon Wine Estate in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, Laurie is a WSET Diploma graduate, a member of the Associate Institute of Wines and Spirits (AWIS), the Moët & Chandon best Young Sommelier 2019 and a student on the prestigious Master of Wine programme.
The KZN School of Wine offers a range of packages including online wine courses, in-person course days and official WSET qualifications. For those taking on the official qualifications a range of practice exams are also available.
Class numbers are limited and kept intimate to ensure students get the most out of the personalised tuition offered. Classes are held at KZN’s own Abingdon Wine Estate offering top class facilities for wine tasting, classroom lectures, cellar tours and lunch overlooking the vineyard.
